It's starting
First it was the girl I hadn't talked to since our first-year seminar on courtly love.
Then it was an old friend from high school with whom I still occasionally exchange messages.
Now it's someone I talk to often, a person -- people -- I've known all my life.
WHY OH WHY IS THE WHOLE WORLD GETTING ENGAGED?

dude, get used to it- we're from the south. and don't settle, or settle down anytime soon. life is too short, we're too young, and there are too many opportunities people give up for the love (or security) of another.
I'm kind of lonely sometimes. but I've never been happier! and let's face it- we're not the kind of girls who would ever want to be holed up in the suburbs with a hubby.
can you imagine all the adventures to come for us, that people whose lives begin and end on their wedding day will never experience?
I won't deny that it's utterly bizarre though. good luck coping-
